Here at 1st Aid Repairs we are passionate about what we do. We are a family run business who pride ourselves on providing a customer service as good as or even better than that of some of the biggest names on the market.
Our aim is to provide a customer friendly experience, quality repairs at affordable and competitive prices. For many of our customers parting with their treasured camera equipment can be like taking their right arm off, so we have worked hard to create a service that gives the client advice of what to expect at every stage of the repair, prior to even parting with their equipment.
We established the business in 2000 and have a wealth of experience working alongside manufacturers, insurance companies, and some of the largest name brand stores around, as well as individual clients and professional film crews.
We have access to a host of highly trained and specialist technicians who repair at component level, resulting in fewer expensive parts being required. With decades of experience at our disposal, alongside enthusiastic up and coming technicians who are eager to continue our work ethic, we aim to continue to invest in the future and continue training the next generation.
Where possible we do our best to reduce, reuse and recycle, however there are occasions when this just is not possible and an item has reached the end of its life! In these cases we offer a recycling programme in accordance with the Weee. Regulations and only recycle responsibly through U.K companies.
We have invested in the latest technology equipment to aid us in providing a quality repair service.
We have preheating, airflowing solder systems, with the ability to replace the smallest components, and BGA ic's. as well as SD sockets, HDMI Sockets, USB sockets etc, which saves the cost of a complete board when only one part is damaged.
We have a clean room facility which can be used in conjunction with our ionising anti static air guns to ensure we can strip and clean lenses to the highest degree, and can replace IR filters on CCD's and CMOS Sensors.
All mains powered equipment repaired in our workshop is fully PAT tested after repair.
We are ever conscious of the sensitivity of our clients’ data and personal details, therefore we have always taken steps to store and dispose of both customers’ personal data and their equipment responsibly.
In this ever changing economic climate we are keen to continue to be able to provide the best and most efficient service we can, with investment in the latest tools at our disposal we are always investing in the future to ensure a more sustainable environment for the next generation, and not taking from the land more than is necessary.
We appreciate that our clients' time is precious and have therefore invested in options to allow contact, payment etc at their convenience.
